On Saturday July 1 2006 Peckwater Estate TRA held a Sports Day & BBQ in honour of Nell Deller - a longstanding tenant activist and community organiser who passed away three years ago - and Tommy Winston, a 19 year old who grew up on the estate and was tragically killed on the street earlier this year.

A big thanks to everyone on the estate who helped make the day a success and all the other people who helped out too: NW5 Playhut, our caretakers, Caversham Neighbourhood Partnership, Simona Scotto & Mimi Dance, Michael Bond, Corinne and the Transitions team, all in Sports Development, Hopscotch and Kentish Town Sure Start. Thanks also to Kentish Town Fire Station who did turn up this year for the Tug of War. They weren't bad for beginners.

We missed Nell - her support, advice and... tombolla. And Tommy - for his smiling face and a helping hand.
